Don Cheadle And HBO Max Developing Series About Wall Street's First Black Millionaire

Don Cheadle has teamed up with HBO Max to develop a series about one of the first Black millionaires.

Currently titled, "The Other Hamilton" the series will tell the true story of Jeremiah Hamilton. Hamilton was a Haitian immigrant turned Wall Street mogul in the 1800s who became one of the first Black millionaires using controversial and often illegal methods.

He earned the moniker Prince of Darkness because he scammed insurance companies and capitalized off others' losses. The show will be based off of the book "Prince of Darkness: The Untold Story of Jeremiah G. Hamilton, Wall Street's First Black Millionaire" by Shane White.

Along with Cheadle, director Steven Soderbergh also serves as an executive producer.
