Druski Credits Drake For Comedy Career Launch
Druski is crediting Drake to his career incline start up. During a recent sit-down with The Diary of a CEO podcast host Steven Bartlett, the comedian talked in length about the pursuit of his career.
Druski states it was not until the Toronto rapper recruited him for his "Laugh Now Cry Later" music video that his career starting taking shape to what it is today. Druski went on to declare that he "could never repay" Drake for the impact he's had on his life.
"The thing that changed my life at the time was Drake calling for the 'Laugh Now Cry Later' music video," Druski states. "Everything shifted after that because brands started to take me seriously. It wasn't no more sending free merch and 'Oh, you get this,' or 'We'll bring you out to this event and we just want your appearance and you can get in free.' Now, it's transactional with everything."
Since the video, the comedian has gone on to host the 2026 Bet Awards, create the Coulda Been Love Youtube series, and continues to go viral on social media for skits. He also became the first comedian to cover Billboard‘s No. 1s issue and is soon to become the 1st first purely digital content creator to host Saturday Night Live on Nov 7.
