Dua Lipa may have to come down from the high of her hit song "Levitating" as she's being sued for copyright infringement twice.

The Grammy award winning artist is being sued by songwriters L. Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer. They claim that she copied their song 1979 song "Wiggle and Giggle All Night" and their 1980 song "Don Diablo," the latter of which they obtained the copyright.
Now Dua Lipa may have put her foot in her mouth with this one...she previously admitted to emulating prior eras of music to create her sound for her album "Future Nostalgia."
The other lawsuit comes from a reggae band named Article Sound System that claims that "Levitating" is also a rip off of their 2017 song called "Live your life."
The band also names her label Warner Records in the suit along with the producers and writers. They are seeking damages and any profits they may have made off of Dua's hit 2020 song.
The songwriters (L.Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer) are seeking full statutory damages up to $150,000 and a permanent injunction that would prohibit further reproduction, sale, performance or other use of the song among other things.
Whew, that's a lot and it's sure to bring anyone down from a high...
