Golden Globes Returning to Tv

The Golden Globes and NBC have been reunited. If you remember, following repeated controversy, NBC pulled the plug on The Golden Globes and as a result last year's awards were not televised.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the network have made a 1 year deal that ensures they will telecast the 80th annual awards show.

It all stemmed from the organization's lack of diversity in its membership. Fast forward and the HFPA has continued their ongoing efforts for diversity with a voting board that is now represented by 62 different countries, over 50 % female. In addition, each member is required to go through a re-accreditation process and sign a new code of ethics each year.

The Golden Globes will air Tuesday, Jan 10 on NBC and will also be streamed live on Peacock.
