Hold Up! Anita Baker Asks Fan Not To Stream Or Buy Her Music

Legendary singer Anita Baker is urging her fans to not stream or buy her music for the time being. Anita has outlived all of her recording contracts which gives her the right to own her masters. It's called copyright reversion and it allows musicians to own their masters after 35 years.

However, this process is not immediate or automatic and the artist must take steps to regain their copyrights.

The 63 year old soul icon has an extensive collection that includes 7 studio albums and 1 live album. 5 of the albums went platinum and include songs such as Rapture, Giving You The Best That I Got and Sweet Love.

While the 8 time Grammy winner fights for her music, she asks that her fans don't give her record label and streaming services the money that she rightfully deserves.
