Supa Girlz follows a dance season in the life of one of the most known high schools in Florida, the Miami Northwestern “G-Girls.”The team is led by bright and bold visionary director, Traci Young-Byron. The “G-Girls” have become a trend-setting viral sensation whose successes and struggles reflect the people in the Liberty City neighborhood.
The series shows a look into the world of Young-Byron through a school year as she handles an entirely new group of dancers and recreates the achievements of her previous teams. Over the course of one season, Supa Girlz shows Young’s personal story and the stories of new dancers, Kiara Laster, Kevonni White, Jaida Sumlar and Jayla Dorsett.
The ALLBLK series premiered on Thursday, March 7 with the first episode showing Young holding auditions for the next group of dancers that school year.
