Ms.Pat Reveals Katt Williams Paid For Her Father’s Funeral

Katt Williams might be known for his comedy, but underneath the jokes, he's got a big heart.

Recently comedian Ms. Pat sat down with Shannon Sharpe, and spoke about an act of kindness she received from the comic.

In an interview on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, Ms. Pat shared that Williams stepped up and helped her cover the costs of her father’s funeral expenses. According to BET’s “The Ms. Pat Show” star, while on tour with Williams, she received news of her father's passing.

While on the phone trying to figure out funeral arrangements, Williams offered her the money which took her by surprise, after he overheard her conversation.

“He said go bury your daddy and come back. I was blown away! It was a couple [thousand] dollars,” Ms. Pat explained.

Ms. Pat revealed she didn’t know Williams personally before joining his tour. She also mentioned that she even attempted to repay him, but he declined. 

“And I tried to pay it back, and he said, ‘you don’t owe me nothing.’ I always tell him thank you, because he didn’t have to do that. In this world, in this game, there ain’t a lot of people that will do that,” she continued.

Ms. Pat emphasized that Katt's support extended beyond just covering her father’s funeral costs. Williams didn’t even take the money out of her tour pay, confirming, “He still [paid] me.”
