New Orleans rapper Rob49 was in the giving spirit this Father's Day as he decided to show some fathers a little love with a life changing moment. The New Orleans native rapper paid the bonds for several fathers who were non-violent offenders serving time at Orleans Parish Jail.
According to WDSU he remembers how tough things were for him as a kid growing up with an incarcerated dad. In a video shared by the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, the rapper expressed how he really wanted to do something for Father’s Day this year.
"I grew up with my dad incarcerated. I know him being out could have helped my life. Being able to help dads who did petty crimes. Nothing major, but who don't have the money to get out. That's how you can change a little kid's life."
He also held his annual Father's Day Weekend Concert, which had performances from Sexxy Red, Polo G, Skilla Baby, BossMan DLow and NoCap.

Love seeing rappers use their platform for good! Great story!
