'One Tree Hill' Reboot in Development at Netflix

A sequel series of “One Tree Hill” is currently in the works at Netflix, according to Variety. Officials say original series stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Daneel Ackles are executive producing the reboot.
Ackles will executive produce under her Chaos Machine banner along with her husband, Jensen Ackles. Warner Bros. Television, which produced the original series would also produce the reboot.

The original “One Tree Hill” premiered in 2003 and ran for nine seasons on The WB and then later on The CW. The show also starred Chad Michael Murray, Antwon Tanner, Lee Norris, James Lafferty, and more.
The series was set in the fictional town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, and originally focused on the rivalry between half-brothers Lucas who was played by Murray, and Nathan played by Lafferty. As their lives began to connect the show grew into a story about friendships, relationships and family drama.
