The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2025 class of inductees, with OutKast and Salt-N-Pepa named among the artists set to be honored. The lineup was revealed during a themed episode of “American Idol,” with host Ryan Seacrest sharing the names of this year’s performers and award recipients.

Iconic Atlanta rap group OutKast, comprised of Big Boi and André 3000 will be inducted under the performer category. The category is reserved for artists whose originality and impact have helped change the course of rock and roll.

Also inducted will be Salt-N-Pepa, the first female rap group to achieve platinum success and win a Grammy. The group which is made of Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra "Pepa" Denton, and Deidra “DJ Spinderella” Roper will receive the Musical Influence Award. Salt-N-Pepa helped bring hip-hop into the pop mainstream with crossover hits like “Push It” while breaking down road blocks for women in the genre.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed live on Disney+ and a special will air on ABC at a later date.
