50 Cent is working on building his empire in Louisiana with a new sports and entertainment venue. KSLA News 12 reported the news on Tuesday, March 25, and uploaded a YouTube video showing off the event, with the Shreveport City Council approving the leasing of StageWorks to 50’s G-Unit Film & Television.
The lease is set to run for 30 years on the once-abandoned facility, and could be extended for another 15 years if Jackson chooses to do so. With the current lease, 50’s G-Unit Films & Television company will be required to pay rent for just $200 a month.
Jackson will also be asked to cover all maintenance and operational costs. He told the council that he plans to make minor renovations to the facility so that it may be able to host MMA, boxing, basketball, and volleyball sporting events. Additionally, the structure will be home to various concerts, conventions, and even car shows.
