Snoop Dogg has entered the art world with his latest joint venture by collaborating with artist Joint Venture co-founder, Erica Kovitz. The Ashes to Art series preserves the rapper's marijuana ashes in resin, pigment, and glitter.
Signed by Snoop, the limited debut collection is up for auction, starting at $9,000. All pieces have been auctioned and sold for thousands.
The Ashes to Art collection is described as not just art, but history preserved in resin and labeled as raw, refined, and iconic. Created as a fusion of pop culture, cannabis legacy, and contemporary fine art, each panel is custom-framed, professionally mounted, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The auction ended on Monday, Aug. 18.
