TLC Cancels Shows After T-Boz Suffers Medical Emergency

R&B group TLC canceled its upcoming concerts over the weekend after one of its members was hospitalized. The news came just hours before the group was set to perform at the New York State Fair on Friday, Aug. 23.

In a statement shared on social media, TLC’s Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas revealed the details of T-Boz’s sudden health crisis following a performance in Toledo, Ohio, on Aug. 22. There was also an announcement on the group’s official Instagram account.

Watkins said in a post on her personal Instagram account that she is "on the mend" and hoping to get out of the hospital soon. She also thanked everyone for understanding.

According to Billboard, the latest cancellation marks another challenging moment for TLC, they’ve had to navigate several health-related setbacks this year. Three months ago the group had to postpone four Canadian tour dates after Watkins and several crew members contracted the flu.
