WNBA player Angel Reese has landed a Vogue cover. The player posed for the cover while sitting down for an interview about how the world of fashion and sports intertwines. In the article, the Baltimore County native said she grew up around basketball and entangled in fashion.

For Reese, who earned the nickname “Bayou Barbie” for her glam looks during Louisiana State University games, “It’s always been both: basketball and fashion,” she told Vogue.

The all-star forward, who is gearing up for her second season with the Chicago Sky, told the magazine how she’s been a “fashion girlie” since she was young.

“I was a fashion girlie from young too,” Reese said in the piece. “I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff. I liked to carry a purse. Hair done. I wanted to look put together. I still do.”

In the Vogue cover photo, Reese appears in a red Versace dress. Her appearance in Vogue comes a few months after she debuted fashion partnerships with Reebok and Reese’s Pieces. The Reebok collection includes a T-shirt that says in bold pink lettering, “Pretty girl but she a baller”, a pair of white sneakers with a blue trim, and more.
