After one chapter closes people usually take on another one, and that is exactly what two celebrities are doing. Both former basketball player JR Smith, and music producer 9th Wonder decided to take on the challenge of college.
Smith will be graduating from North Carolina A&T in May, enrolled into the school in 2021, and petitioned the NCAA for permission to play for the men's golf team. This was Smith's first time in college as he was drafted fresh out of high-school at 19 by the New Orleans Hornets in 2024.
Music producer 9th Wonder is also receiving his degree 26 years after dropping out of college to pursue music. He is graduating from North Carolina Central University after over three decades from first enrolling. The Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Patrick Denard Douthit, shared the news of his graduation in a message while reflecting on his journey on Instagram.
