Aces basketball player A'Ja Wilson has done it again. The WNBA star was voted as the 2025 WNBA Most Valuable Player, winning the award for a record-breaking fourth time.
She was previously named MVP in 2020, 2022 and 2024. Sunday’s announcement means Wilson has surpassed the three awards won by Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson.
It also means that Wilson has claimed the award in half of her eight seasons in the WNBA, with last year’s won by a unanimous vote for the first time since Cynthia Cooper in 1997. On Friday, the Aces center was presented with the MVP trophy designed by Tiffany & Co.
A tearful Wilson was surrounded by her teammates before being commended by WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. Her boyfriend Bam Adebayo also surprised her with the trophy at team practice.
