Scary Movie Franchise To Get Wayans' Brothers Reboot

The Scary Movie franchise is getting a Wayans reboot, as the brothers are back. In April 2024, it was revealed that a new Scary Movie was in the works, and in October of that year Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Keenan Ivory Wayans announced they were reuniting to write the script.
"We got the gloves off. We're going R. We're going to have the same fun and the same kind of tone and Wayans flavor that we gave on the first one," Marlon told PEOPLE in March 2025.
There will be returning faces to the movie besides the Wayans' brothers, like Regina Hall, Anna Farris, Lochlyn Monroe, and more. New actors joining the franchise for Scary Movie 6 include Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans and Heidi Gardner.
The movie is slated to release June 2026 in theaters. The release is coming a week earlier than scheduled debuting June 5.
