Cheetah Girls Movie Set For Release, Original Stars Returning

The Cheetah Girls installment is getting a new journey after a new movie was announced for the franchise. A new chapter is confirmed in the works for Disney Channel and Disney+, according to officials.


Two cast members are making a return, Raven-Symonè will return in her role as Galleria, and Adrienne Bailon is returning as Chanel along with new cast members. According to a release, Lynn Whitfield will return as her prior character along with Sabrina Bryan making a special appearance as her character Dorinda.


The project is set to start production this month in South Africa, according to Disney. A synopsis of the project reads, " The story picks up when Cheetah Girls Galleria and Chanel alongside Galleria's daughter Faith (played by Leah Sava' Jefferies), and her three friends travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary".


Symonè will executive produce the movie which does not have an official release date yet. Joining the Disney franchise is Sophia Bush in the role of Jennifré along with Leah Sava’ Jeffries as Galleria’s daughter Faith, Carmen Sanchez as Chanel’s sister Dior, Kaileen Chang as Ruby, Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn, and Kamogelo Ramashala will play Kendi.
