One couple had a night to remember at this year’s Super Bowl. Not only was the night fueled with a game between the Patriots vs. Seahawks, and a performance highlighting hispanic culture but it was also a night of matrimonial love for one couple.
The couple featured in Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX halftime performance were legally married during the set, league sources confirmed to ESPN. The couple was spotlighted several times during Bad Bunny’s performance beginning with a proposal early on in the set.
Midway through the set, they got married surrounded by backup dancers. During the performance, the newlyweds kissed before they parted to reveal guest performer Lady Gaga, who sang “Die with a Smile” with a live band. In a press release after the halftime show, Bad Bunny's team confirmed the news and provided more details on how the ceremony came about.
"As the music played, a real wedding took place onstage. After inviting Bad Bunny to attend their wedding, the couple was instead invited to be part of the Apple Music Halftime Show, where they were married live, with him serving as a witness and signing the marriage certificate, complete with a wedding cake, turning the moment into a joyful celebration unfolding in real time," the recap stated.
