FIFA Launches Investigation After Incident Between Fan and Popular Streamer IShowSpeed

Just like a lot of people in the world, streamer IShowSpeed was trying to enjoy a FIFA World Cup match on Friday. IShowSpeed was livestreaming the Argentina vs. Cape Verde game on Friday when he could be heard asking a fan what was being said towards him.

According to AP News, the fan appeared to be saying in Spanish, "go cry to the zoo". On Tuesday, July 7, FIFA said it is investigating the incident during a released statement.

"FIFA strongly condemns racism, hate and discrimination in all forms," the football governing body said in a statement. "These actions have no place in football, at the FIFA World Cup, or anywhere in society. Messages sent to IShowSpeed and publicists seeking comment were not immediately returned. FIFA was made aware of an incident involving a supporter and IShowSpeed at Miami Stadium during the Argentina vs Cape Verde match on July 3 2026 and immediately initiated an investigation."

The streamer who has millions of followers online is known for streaming himself doing stunts, traveling around the world and more. He recently went on a travel tour around the Caribbean.
