The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently gave an update on Gregg's health at her lounge in Atlanta. She told her customers that Gregg was transitioning to the other side. The next day on Instagram, she simply said "Broken" with the heartbroken and prayer emojis.

Gregg was first diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer in 2018 but had been in remission for 2 years. In June, Nene revealed that Gregg was hospitalized and had surgery because the cancer had returned.

In July, she had to cancel an appearance for seemingly good news: Gregg was being released from the hospital after 6 weeks.

Gregg and Nene were fan favorites for years on Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality show showcased their highs and lows until Nene's exit last year. They were married in 1997 and then divorced in 2011. True love won as they remarried in 2013 and were together since.

Nene did express that Gregg going through chemotherapy did take a toll on their marriage. Gregg later apologized publicly saying,

"We always hurt the ones we love … because they allow us to hurt them rather than snap back," he wrote. "I'm tired of hurting my wife who is only trying to take good care of me and wants only the best for me too."

"She deserves much more for her hard efforts and tireless hours spent on me," he added. "I pray to God to get it together … she's done NO wrong … this is ALL me. Cancer WILL change your life."

Gregg is survived by his wife Nene and 6 six children including their only child together Brentt.
