Netflix To Create Live-Action Scooby Doo

Netflix is rebooting another classic with their latest creation of Scooby Doo. The media company is creating a live action version of the series that already has many installments in its saga.

The show was picked up for 8 episodes in March 2025. The official log-line for the show describes it as a modern reimagining of the popular cartoon show.

"A modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog. During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.” — Log-line for series

So far, only one cast member has been announced, McKenna Grace will play the character of Daphne. There has not been an official release date for the series as of yet.
