'Power Book II: Ghost' to end after season 4 at Starz

A day after revealing plans for a prequel series, Starz announced that the second series in the Power franchise will be ending with its fourth season. 'Power Book II: Ghost will premiere the first half of its two-part final season on Friday, June 7. Then part-two will premiere on Friday, Sept.6.
The news of the final season also came with Starz announcing a fourth 'Power' spin-off series titled 'Origins' on Wednesday, March 14. The series executive produced by Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson started in 2014 with Book I but that book ended in 2020 after six seasons and more than 60 episodes.
After the ending of Book I the franchise expanded into Book II: Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan, and Book IV: Force. Fellow spinoffs 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' and “Power Book IV: Force” are currently filming for their fourth and third seasons.
“This explosive season of ‘Ghost’ is a fitting crescendo in a decade of an immensely popular franchise – fans will not be disappointed,” said Kathryn Busby, president of programming for Starz. “While this marks the conclusion of one chapter, our commitment to the ‘Power’ universe endures with more compelling storytelling on the horizon.”
According to CNET Season 4 will see Michael Ealy join the cast as Detective Don Carter, as well as returning cast members Michael Rainey who plays Tariq Fitzpatrick, Gianni Paolo as Brayden Weston, Mary J. Blige as Monet Tejada, Method Man as Davis MacLean, Woody McClain as Cane Tejada and Alix Lapri as Effie.
