Ray J’s Mom Addresses Rumors About His Diagnosis

Ray J's mom, Sonja Norwood stepped up in the social media streets to address rumors about her son's health. Recently, Ray J revealed that a doctor told him, he only has months to live and his heart is in bad shape. Ray J made that announcement on social media after being hospitalized with pneumonia in January. 

Since his announcement, people have been online speculating that it is just a ploy by the singer. But his mother took to social media to let everyone know exactly that status of his help. In a clip shared by The Shade Room, she explains that Ray J has a heart condition called Cardiomyopathy.

"It was so scary and serious that every other word that was explained to us was 'this is life-threatening,'" she recalled.

"They put him on five medications at that hospital, along with an IV to try and increase the flow of blood to his heart.”

Norwood also went on to talk about being at the hospital for seven days, while the singer went through pain, stuck with needles, and had tests ran to determine his condition. Her video comes a couple weeks after a video of Ray J circulated online with what looked like blood coming from his eyes during a performance in Louisiana. As the video continued to be posted online, rumors of the moment being fake began to circulate too.
