Star Search Returns To Find The Next Superstar

The iconic TV show Star Search has returned with a bang, and the season finale ended with magic. After being off air for over two decades, Netflix revised the talent show in 2026 with Anthony Anderson as the host.

The reboot features judges Jelly Roll, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chrissy Teigen who focus on interactive, and real-time voting for different performances. The original show ran from 1983 to 1995, then it was revived but short-lived from 2003 to 2004.

This time unlike the previous times, viewers will get to vote live on which acts get to advance and who's knocked out of the competition. Magician TJ Salta was crowned the winner of the Star Search reboot series finale on Netflix on February 17, 2026, and won the $500,000 grand prize. Star Search season 1 premiered on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. eastern.
