Basketball legend Michael Jordan is adding something new to his resume. It was recently announced that the former basketball player will be joining NBC Sports as a special contributor to its NBA coverage when the 2025-2026 season begins.

NBC made the announcement on Monday morning, May 12, during the network's Upfront Presentation at Radio City Music Hall. The network shared a video teaser announcing Jordan's participation that included clips of some of the former NBA star's career.

“I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC,” Jordan said during a video message. “The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I’m excited about being a special contributor to the project. I’m looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October.”

Jordan's work for NBC will also be his return to TV for the first time since his Emmy award-winning docu-series The Last Dance aired in 2020.
